Buses in Chandigarh:
Local Bus Services in Chandigarh as well as its satellite towns like Panchkula and Mohali are under the supervision of the Chandigarh Transport Undertaking. Chandigarh has two bus terminals located at Sector 17 and Sector 43. The bus services are frequent and it starts from 6:00 AM and runs till 10:00 PM. Bus journey is very economical especially the government buses. There are air-conditioned mini buses that run on the important routes like ISBT no. 17 and 43, IT Park, Railway Station, and PGI etc. 
Chandigarh Tourism is given special boost with the arrangement of double-decker buses that take visitors on a city tour. The various spots covered by these buses are the Secretariat, the Punjab University, Sukhna Lake and others. The journey starts from Hotel Shivalik View located at Sector 17 Bus Terminal. The passengers can buy tickets for a day and ride such buses as many times they want to thereby getting the flexibility of spending enough time at every spot.
Taxi Services in Chandigarh:
Chandigarh does not have many facilities of local taxi services within the city. Private Taxi Operators can be booked from various taxi stands of every sector. Fully air-conditioned taxi services are also available in Chandigarh. These taxis ply within the city as well as the satellite towns of Chandigarh-Mohali and Panchkula. These cabs can be found at Railway Station as well as at Chandigarh Airport. Passengers can book these cabs over phone and they come to the doorstep of the passengers to pick them up. 
Passengers can lodge any complaint about the taxi services with State Transport Authority. For the first KM only meter down charges are taken and for subsequent distances Rs 15 per kilometer is charged.
Auto-Rickshaws in Chandigarh:
Chandigarh is the first in the country to have Radio Auto Service. These autos are pink in color and charge Rs. 10 for first 1 km and then for subsequent kilometers the charge is Rs 8 per kilometer. This service is named as Tuk-Tuk and is available 24x7. Passengers can call on 0712-4343434 to book these auto rickshaws. Auto rickshaws are also available in the commercial sector of every sector of Chandigarh.Cycle and Rickshaws in Chandigarh:
The pedaled cycle rickshaws are also quite popular in Chandigarh. This mode of conveyance is good for short distances. These can be easily found on different parts of the city. Bicycles are available on rent for touring around the city. Visitors can use cycle path to visit various places like Leisure Valley, Sukhna Lake, Rock Garden, Capitol Complex, and various other gardens.
