Municipal Services In Chandigarh

Municipal Services are the services provided by the municipalities to make sure that all the citizens get the basic services to satisfy their needs. Quality of these services put a direct impact on the lives of the people in that community, its economic development and investment climate. These are the services that residents of a city expect the city government to provide in lieu of the taxes paid by its citizens.

Municipal Corporation of Chandigarh came into existence in the year 1994.

Basic Services provided by the Municipal Corporation Of Chandigarh are:

Earlier these services were looked after by their respective departments, but in 1994, with the formation of Municipal corporation of Chandigarh, the charge of these services was transferred to the MC of Chandigarh. • Set up of a solid waste processing plant at Dadu Majra.
